Wednesday, June 8, 1927 Went up to Springfield store, going and coming on the train. Very hot up there. Had supper in town and then attended meeting of Employing Master Painters association at Fraternal Hall on Elm St. near State. Three representatives of the National Lead Co. of New York gave a music performance of the making of White Lead, then afterwards demonstrated various ways of applying paint for inside decoration.
