Another beautiful morning, developing into a real hot day. Went with Frank Spaulding to New Milford, Bridgewater, and Ronbury and called on his customers with him. Had lunch at New Milford. Met Jack Marsh at Bridgewater. Connecticut is most beautiful at this time of year. No part of the country can show anything of its kind to compare to it. Our mountains and valleys, our rivers and woods and fields are a delight to the eye and heart. Arrived at home in time to plant Summer squash and cucumbers before supper.
