Monday, June 13, 1927 Luncheon at noon with Executive Board New haven Council of Churches at Hotel Bishop. T.P.H., Sarah, and I attended performance put on by the Jitney Players on the grounds of Nathan Halt Inn, Whitney Ave. and Sachem St. Colonel Lindbergh flew from Washington D.C. to New York to attend the great celebration planned for the New York to Paris flyer. The newspapers say that 3,000,000 people gave him the greatest and noisiest reception that any individual ever received. His mother also came in for a great share of the welcome.
