Terrifically hot today. Went with our store people to Champs Farm Bridgeport to the Summer outing of the Conn. Master Painters Assn. They played games, had sports, and had a fine dinner. Rode home with Bill Whitfield. Muriel Newell with us for a few days. Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey's Circus here today, showing over on Dixwell Avenue. None of us attended and we were glad we did not as a terrific storm broke about 10-30 P.M., about as people were leaving.
