Wednesday, June 29, 1927 Today was the day chosen for an "outing" of our store organization. It rained this morning and we were quite undecided about going but finally said lets go and went ahead. We closed the York Street store at one o'clock and the Springfield store at about eleven. We met up in York Square and went down in our own cars. The members of all families provided the "eats". The company supplied the ice cream, coffee, and lemonade, also the expenses at Double Beach. We had a fine party and all enjoyed themselves.
