Another beautiful Spring day. Clear and warm. Well above sixty. After a busy morning at the office, T.P.H. and I left on the 1-38 train for New York to visit Sarah. Registered at the Madison Hotel East Fifty-Eighth Street. A very quiet, delightful hotel. Sarah met us at the Grand Central Station. We had dinner at Alice Foote MacDougal, a most delightful place. Modeled after a Florence, Italy court. Good food. Italian music and every thing. Went to the American Laboratory Theatre and saw "The Sea Woman's Cloak". Sarah had a small part in it. It was a wonderful production. After the show, we went down East 52nd St. and called on Paul and Elizabeth Barnett, who have only been married a few weeks. They have a very complete little apartment. Took Sally home to her apartment and then went to the Madison and to bed.

(This is the first time I've seen Sarah listed in the program at the American Laboratory Theatre, though it is last name only. She is credited as "Villager".)
