Thursday, March 17, 1927 In New York. Another beautiful day. Thermometer above sixty and why shouldn't it be as its "St. Patrick's Day in the morning". We had breakfast here at the Hotel Madison. We then went over to the Theatre with Sarah. Then she was free for the day until the evening performance. We all went up and looked through the Cathedral of St. John the Divine. It is beautiful. It has been building for years and will be building years more before it is finished. Went down town on a Fifth Avenue bus and had luncheon. Then took a taxi up to The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Waited outside a while and saw a part of the St. Patrick's Parade go by and then went in the museum and viewed the treasures of the colonial periods in the American wing. It is all very wonderful. Called on Mrs. Glaenzer and had tea. To theatre to see Sally play "Sally Budie" in "The Trumpet Shall Sound".
