Wednesday, March 23, 1927 Went to Springfield store today. Planned to drive up in the Packard but it was so cold this morning (23°). Decided to go up on the train. Very cold and windy up there. Thermometer 2 above zero up in Vermont. T.P.H. met me at the train. Had dinner at home and spent the evening there.
