Saturday, May 14, 1927 Worked till about three P.M. came home. Started to mow the lawn but broke my lawn mower. Had supper early. Dressed and went over to Edgewood Club for our minstrel show performance. Sarah went with me and helped "make up" the men that were not black face. The performance was well received by the audience.
