Thursday, May 19, 1927 Had lunch at Quinnipiac Club. Came out home soon after lunch and took Aunt Lucy over to call on Violette and to see her new house on Roger's Road. After visiting with her and Lota, she served tea and we went over to Edgewood Ave. and Boulevard to see the house in which Aunt Bill used to live. Brought Aunt Lucy back home. Then I went down to the armory on Meadow Street where the State Guard group of the New Haven Grays met to go out to Cummings Centerville. In for our annual party. Forty four members assembled and a fine time was had by all. Henry H. Townshend, a veteran, read a paper written by him based on letters written by a member of the Grays during the Civil War.
