This has been a great day for everybody. In the first place, Aletha and Larry brought X Morgan down from Hartford to the Church of the Redeemer to be baptised. They had asked me to be godfather and I served with much pleasure and felt much honored. Mrs. Dr. Carl Knapp was godmother. Annual meeting of the Edgewood Club tonight. Supper and dance. Captain Charles A. Lindbergh, who left New York yesterday morning in his air ship, arrived at Paris tonight at 5-21 P.M. E.D.S.T. This is a great feat. He made the crossing in 33.5 hours without leaving his seat. The whole world is rejoicing and celebrating tonight. The French people gave him a wonderful reception, not a single trace of jealousy shown. He is the first man in history to cross in a monoplane. He covered 3800 miles and averaged 113 miles an hour.
