Memorial Day and a most beautiful one weatherwise. A cloudless sky and not too warm. We all three stayed at home all day. Worked out of doors in the garden. Planted corn and beans. Also the dahlia bulbs and mowed the lawn. Captain Charles Lindbergh flew from Brussells to London yesterday afternoon and landed at Croyden Flying Field. He was received by 100,000 people and given a royal welcome. He is certainly the idol of all nations.
