T.P.H. and Sarah drove home from Springfield this morning. A short time after, they crossed the memorial bridge between East Hartford and Hartford, it was closed to traffic on account of the constant rising of the Connecticut River. The down town streets of Hartford were all under water. I went to church and church school. T.P.H. called for me at Calvary and we drove down to Norwalk and had dinner with Alice and Fred Lockwood. They are packing up preparing to leave the old house for good. They will spend the Winter in Pasadena, California. Sarah had to rehearse all the afternoon at Yale School of Drama.
