Thursday, November 10, 1927 Very cold this morning. Had to put some alcohol in the radiator of the Packard, some danger of it freezing. Harley was going out to Milford to the Rotary Club meeting so I went with him. They have their luncheon at the Masonic Temple and the ladies of the Eastern Star cater for them. They served a fine lunch. Calvary Church school council met tonight at the Roger Sherman restaurant for supper and the meeting. Our Community Chest Drive ended tonight going over the top of schedule time with a surplus of our $18,000.00. Our objective was $599. We actually collected $618,279.85. There we 50,268 contributors.
