Saturday, November 12, 1927 Well this has been a great day for Yale and New Haven for this is the day of the Yale-Princeton football game in the Bowl. The morning looked as though it might rain at any moment but it finally did not rain at all, much to the relief of the 77,000 people at the game. Sally and I sat together and T.P.H. took Miss Mundie with her. The game was perhaps the most thrilling of any of the 51 played between Yale and Princeton. The teams were almost evenly matched. Princeton scored a touchdown early in the second period for 6 points and that score stood till the middle of the last period when Yale scored 14 points to win 14 to 6. Hoben shot a forward pass to Fiskorick, who caught it and ran 20 yards for the first score. Then Princeton fumbled and Yale recovered and punched over another score, kicking both points after the touchdowns. It was a great finish.
