Wednesday, November 23, 1927 Sarah left on the ten a.m. train for Springfield to try on her dresses for Muriel Newell's wedding. Also for some parties that the Springfield girls are giving for Muriel. Went down to Quinnipiac Club tonight to party. Saw moving pictures of Dempsey-Turney fight then had a raffle, bowling, etc. For turkey, Orion Spencer brought me home in his car. Mother Peck fell and hurt herself yesterday. T.P.H. has been there off and on all day. The thermometer today rose to 70°, which is the warmest November day on record. Yale football men elected.
