Thanksgiving Day today. Sarah is in Springfield and Mother Peck is in bed from her fall of Tuesday. So we are not celebrating today. Plan to have our big dinner on Sunday. T.P.H. had creamed dried beef and potato, pineapple salad, and custard for our dinner. I dug up the balance of the dahlia bulbs. Took off the screen doors and took in the flower boxes. Now let Winter come as fast as she likes. We left home at 4-30 and drove up to Springfield to the Newells for Muriel's wedding tomorrow. Went over to the church for the rehearsal then back to Mrs. Newells for supper. Mr. and Mrs. Richardson of Cambridge, Mass. were there (Phil's father and mother). We went over to Mrs. Hitchcock's for the night. Pouring rain all day long. A rather gloomy holiday.
