Wednesday, October 5, 1927 Enroute from Chicago eastward. Breakfast and luncheon on the train. Left Chicago last night at 5-30 Central Time. Detrained at Pittsfield, Mass. at 3-20 P.M. this afternoon. T.P.H. met me at the Pittsfield Station, having driven the Packard up from New Haven today. She brought Mrs. Arthur Morse with her. We drove down here to the Hotel Aspinwall at Lenox, Mass. to spend the night and to attend the Conclave of the Rotary Clubs of the 30th District. Many other Rotarians arrived tonight also. The day has been just gorgeous. The World Series started today between the Pittsburg Nationals and the New York Americans. Game played at Pittsburg. New York won 5 to 3.
