Raining here this morning but it is beautiful here even in the rain as the clouds on the mountains are inspiring. T.P.H. and I drove to Pittsfield to church. Attended St. Stephen's Church. Rev. Mr. Heyn, rector formerly curate at Trinity Church at New Haven. He and Mrs. Heyn greeted us cordially. Back to the Aspinwall to dinner. We spent the afternoon quietly reading and after supper, listening to a fine concert by the hotel orchestra. We read in the newspapers today that Georgia defeated Yale 14 to 10 and Purdue defeated Harvard 19 to 0. We have enjoyed the days spent at the Aspinwall a great deal. Bob Chandler of the New London Club was here with a little girl from Hartford, Miss "Midge" Hill. We are quite suspicious of perhaps an engagement.
