A beautiful fall day. Clear and cool but not too cold. Harley and Alice are spending a few days up at a camp in Winchendon, Mass. Yale played Brown today and Yale won 19 to 0. This was a joyful surprise for us as we expected Brown to win after Yale's defeat by Georgia last Saturday. For years we have had the Hanbury's of Newington, Conn. down for lunch and game when Brown plays Yale. But this year although we invited them, they could not come. T.P.H. is suffering with a hard cold. It was too bad for her to go out to the game. Sarah went with me and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Harvard 14 Holy Cross 6. Princeton 13 Washington + Lee 0. Notre Dame 19 Navy 6. Army 27 Davis + Elkins 6.
