Thursday, October 20, 1927 Went to Springfield with H.M.H. Rain all the way up. We went by the way of the College Highway. It has been repaved between Farmington and Avon. We stopped at the Bryon Hardware Co. in Westfield, Mass. Then on to Springfield. Had a conference with the J. Douglass Law Co. about their paint business. Si Pomeroy had dinner with us at the Hotel Kimball. Then we drove back home, leaving there at about nine o'clock.
