Saturday, October 22, 1927 A glorious Autumn day for the annual visit of the West Point cadets to New Haven and the football game between Yale and the Army. The cadets arrived in New Haven on two special trains, marched up State and Chapel Streets to the Green and gave a drill there. Then moved over to the Yale dining hall lunch. After lunch, they marched out to the Yale Bowl, drilled in the Bowl for about fifteen minutes and then the game. Yale won 10 to 6 and it was a hard fight for we expected Army to win as they had nearly the same team that beat Yale 33 to 0 last year. Bruce Caldwell was the outstanding star for Yale and Harry Wilson for West Point. We brought Bert and Mrs. Brewer from Pittsfield home after the game and they stayed all night. Bob Chandler and "Midge" Hill also stopped for dinner. Went over to Spring Glen Club.
