Sunday, October 30, 1927 Beautiful day, warm and clear. Our boy guests who are here for the conference had breakfast with us. Then I took them and the two boys who are staying with the Geres into Calvary to church and school. All four came back with me to dinner and I took them in town again to the last session of the conference. 787 boys and leaders registered. It is T.P.H. birthday today, having arrived at her fiftieth milestone. Sarah gave her a lovely pair of silver candle sticks. Newcomb Bassett sent her some beautiful roses and I gave her a growing pot of chrysanthemums (my real gift to here is to come later).
