Had luncheon with him at Hotel Taft. Home to dinner and the evening. Worked on church school records. The "Pride of Detroit" round the world plane arrived at Bagdad at 9-30 tonight. This plane log is as follows. Aug 27-28 - Left Newfoundland for England. 2350 miles. Aug 29 - Left Croydon, England for Munich, Germany. 600 miles. Aug 30 - Munich to Belgrade, Iugoslavia. 500 miles. Aug 31 - Belgrade to Constantinople. 500 miles. Sept 2 - Constantinople to Bagdad. 1075 miles or a total miles to date of 5025.
