Labor Day finds us all at Newfane, Vermont. Ate breakfast here at the inn then drove down to Camp Arden for Sally and brought her up to Newfane to look at antiques. They all proved too expensive for us. Took her back to camp then came back for dinner. Alice Drew invited Judge and Mrs. Lockwood over from Manchester, Vermont to have lunch with us. Then we all went down to camp to see "Martin Pippin in the Apple Orchid" played. Sarah played the lead, "Martin Pippin", and she did it so splendidly. We were so proud of her. After supper at the inn, we again went back to camp to hear the girls chorus sing led by Mrs. Day of New Haven. Mrs. Dr. Corey has been riding back and forth with us. Larea is at Camp Arden also. Another perfect day.
