A beautiful Indian Summer day, warm and lovely. Mr. Gibson here today of Becker Smith and Page. Home to dinner tonight and for the evening. Sarah had to go back in town to a reception at the Yale Theatre to meet President Angell. The newspapers today give an account of the terrific tornado that struck St. Louis, MO last night. 84 to 100 persons kills, many injured. 5000 buildings were flown down. Losses estimated at 100 million dollars. The storm lasted but five minutes.
