In Springfield at the Hotel Kimball. Had breakfast there then drove with Mr. Shaffer over to the Bryan Hardware Co. of Westfield, Massachusetts where we are installing a Wall Paper Department for them. Dressed the window on the main floor, put up signs and decorations for them. Quite a few people called and all were pleased with the appearance of the new department. Called on Burt Cadle at the J.D. Cadle Co. Printers, where I worked as a boy thirty six years ago. Drove down home tonight in one hour and fifty minutes. Found Sarah had had Doctor Baldwin to see her. He said she had tonsillitis and grippe. I brought her down from Westfield a box of strawberries that she said tasted "O, so good".
