Friday, April 6, 1928 Good Friday. We kept open in New Haven till noon. Springfield store open all day as it is not a holiday in Massachusetts. I went over to Beecher and Bennett at one o'clock to Mr. George Beebes funeral (Harry's father). Came out home and cleaned up the garden. Piled up the corn stalks to burn. Very warm and balmy. Worked the balance of the afternoon and all the evening on my church school records figuring up the attendance pin records.
