Another beautiful day. Warm and sunny. Worked till one o'clock then Harley and Alice, Tess and I drove up to Hartford to the funeral of Mrs. E.B. Pratt funeral. She has suffered long with cancer and has mercifully been allowed to go home to that peace which passeth understanding. We borrowed a new Packard card from the Packard agency to try out. It certainly ran beautifully. Ruth and Howard Donovan called tonight. They are just back home from Bahia, Brazil, South America. It is thirty one years ago today since we became engaged.
