Friday, April 13, 1928 A beautiful bright day but still quite cool. I drove up to Westfield, Mass. Helped the Bryan Hardware Co. with their Wall Paper windows. Had lunch at the Park Square Hotel then drove over to the Springfield store and from there down home. Took T.P.H. and went down to West Haven to dinner given in honor of the twentieth anniversary of the Men's Club of the First Cong. Church. We were Harley's guests. Had a fine dinner and heard a fine speaker, a Judge Wells of Bordentown, N.J. The German airplane left Ireland for New York this morning hoping to be the first plane to make the trip from East to West.
