Saturday, April 14, 1928 The newspapers report that the German airship "Bremen" made the passage across the ocean from East to West, flying from Ireland and landing on Greenly Island, which is off the tip of Labrador. The flyers had intended landing in New York but were forced down by lack of fuel on account of fog and head winds, forcing them miles off their course. The flyers are Baron Von Haenefeld, Captain Kohl, German and Captain James Fitzmaurice, Irishman. Friday the thirteenth was lucky for this Irish pilot. T.P.H. and I went out to the Westville Congo Church to the wedding of Ruth Lincoln, the youngest daughter of Fred Lincoln. Reception at the house later. Many lovely gifts. In to Calvary Church tonight to rehearsal for old folks concert. [Prev](1928_04_13.md) - [Next](1928_04_15.md) <img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/d/11fHE6zGsAxHnXbafBBy1LYIND8dUWAq2">
