Tuesday, April 17, 1928 Lovely day, cool and clear. Rotary luncheon at Hotel Taft. The inventors and promoters of a new automatic traffic signal explained and demonstrated the device. It is wonderful. Met with Mr. Buckingham and H.M.H. from five to seven then hurried down to Calvary Church to take part in our "Old Folks Concert" put on by Grace Walker Nichols and Hawley Lincoln. I had to sing a solo, "Cousin Jedediah". A good crowd and a good time. We took Violette and Ruth and Lota home. Sally gave a luncheon for Mary Hall and her wedding party this noon at the "Little Tavern", Centerville.
