Friday, August 3, 1928 In New York. Breakfast at the Commodore. George Hanbury as our guest. Looked at the Muralin line this morning. Also called on the Haron Milling Co., makers of Red Stave Paste. Also saw the Boxer line made in Canada. Mr. Chamberlain and I had lunch together at the Commodore. Then he packed up and went on to Bridgeport. I called on the W.H.S. Lloyd Co. Did some shopping. Then packed up for home. Spent a good long time in the bath tub as it was fearfully hot. So hot a day as I have experienced in New York in a long time. Took the 5-35 (Daylight Saving Time) train for home. Called up T.P.H. from the station and she came in for me with the new Packard. She had driven down from Vermont today and brought Alice Drew Lockwood along and picked up Sally Ballard in Springfield. They went on to Norwalk tonight. Fred came up and called for them.
