Thursday, August 9, 1928 Cloudy and raining off and on all day and all night. Working on Wall Paper all day with Mr. Chamberlain. Supper down town then to a meeting of the "Committee of twenty one" at Calvary Church. Talked over the plans and progress of the work of redecorating and putting in order the church and Sunday School room. I took Violette home in the Packard afterwards. Very hot and muggy.
