Tuesday, August 14, 1928 Another fine clear day. Much warmer this afternoon. Rotary luncheon this noon at Hotel Taft. Home early tonight as I had to lead the prayer meeting at the First Baptist Church. Called for Violette and Lota and took them along with me. Lota played the piano and Mr. Robert Crawford led the singing. T.P.H. had Mother and Father Peck here for luncheon. This is their sixty third wedding anniversary. Father is eighty seven and Mother eighty four. It is quite remarkable that both should have lived so long. But very wonderful that they have been spared to each other so long.
