Thursday, August 16, 1928 Hot again today and then some. Had lunch at the Quinnipiack Club. Stopped in at calvary Baptist Church to see how the work of redecorating was progressing. We are have the auditorium, the lecture room, parlors, kitchen, etc redecorated. New floors in the down stairs rooms. New lights and a new ventilating system in the church. Harley and I stayed after store closed and went over our auditors statements. The rain certainly effected our sales for the first six months.
