Friday, August 24, 1928 More rain this morning then cleared a little this afternoon but clouded up again tonight. Lunch today at the Quinnipiac Club. Had dinner in town then attended a meeting of the Broadway Business Mens Association to consider plans for a celebration to properly open the much improved Broadway (it has just been widened and repaved and the trolly tracks changed to run through the upper Green). Wrote up our first orders today for Wall Paper, sending them in to the Hobb's Wall Paper Co., Gilbert Wall Paper Co., and the York Card and Paper Co.
