Sunday, August 26, 1928 Rained nearly all day again today. Violette called us late last night and told us that they were taking Richmond to the hospital then to be operated for appendicitis. It was a sudden attack. They operated about midnight and sister got home about two o'clock this morning. It was most successful and in just about the right time. Do so hope he will get along alright. Nellie Chandler and Ruth here for the weekend. Dorothy Rauson and Bud Wicks also called this afternoon. They have just returned from Iowa and will attend the Drama School at Yale again this year.
