Wednesday, August 29, 1928 Rained this morning then cleared off at noon. Very hot. Everything is stickey and muggy. We cannot close our front door here at "Glendean". We just have to latch the screen door and let it go at that. T.P.H. took Nellie and Ruth Chandler home to New London today. She took Bud Wicks and Dorothy Rauson along with her for company home. I worked tonight at the store finishing up my Wall Paper orders. All orders in on No. 1 and No. 2 Books (Old No 1-2 and No 3-4). This is much earlier than we have ever had them in.
