Saturday, December 1, 1928 Beautiful day today. Clear and mild. Worked all day at the store. No football games now so worked till five o'clock. Came out home on the trolly. Sarah and Doris Glaenzer went up to "Elm Lea" School, Putney, Vermont to help Miss Evarts dedicate the first new building of the school. President Elect Hoover and his party arrived at Guayaquil, Ecuador on his good will tour. This is his first stop in South America. They are to be guests of the Ecuadorean President for dinner. I worked all the evening at home on Wall Paper records. Stanford University of California beat West Point 26 to 0 at the Yankee Stadium, New York.
