Saturday, December 8, 1928 Snowed nearly all day long but has not made much. Worked till 5-30 today, all the afternoon on Wallpaper records. T.P.H. called for me with the Packard and then we went over to the Yale Drama School for Sally. We all came home and dinner here together. President Elect Hoover on board the U.S.S. Maryland landed at Antafagasta, Chili today so that he might greet the people of Bolivia. About one hundred guests were served luncheon on the quarterdeck of the Maryland. The party will proceed from here to Valparaiso, Chili, due to arrive there Monday morning.
