Tuesday, December 11, 1928 Rotary luncheon at Hotel Taft at noon. I took Harry Hodges of the Murphy Varnish Co. as my guest. Gee we had a rotten lunch. Pigs knuckles and sauer kraut. It was awful. Had supper in town and then had our monthly store meeting. Mr. Desaw of the George D. Wetherill Co. was our speaker. King George of England is dangerously ill and all England is alarmed. The Prince of Wales is hurrying home from South Africa, will arrive in England late tonight. He has traveled over 10000 miles. --- (Assuming no relation for Harry Hodges.)
