Thursday, December 13, 1928 Fine day again today. Winter meeting and dinner of the New Haven Paint and Oil Club at Hotel Taft. Dinner was served at 6-30, Room 117, "The Blue Room". Meeting followed. President George Eckle Jr. in the chair. Many matters of interest to the club was discussed. President Elect Hoover is has now reached Argentina on his Good Will tour to Central and South America. He was given a remarkable reception at Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina. President Irogoyen of that country expressed the hope that Mr. Hoover's visit would unit the North and South America in closer bonds of friendship.
