Friday, December 14, 1928 Very mild and clear. Luncheon this noon at the Quinnipiack Club with the Executive Committee of the New Haven Council of Boys Scouts. Many plans for the futherence of the scout work in New Haven was discussed. Attended a meeting on "Traffic" at the offices of the Stirlen Automatic Signal Corp. in the new Union Trust Building. Mr. Stirlen demonstrated his new traffic signal light that is operated by the traffic itself. There was present the mayor, chief of police, Board of Alderman, the Traffic Commission, and other interested citizens. I was there representing the Broadway Business Mens Association. T.P.H. and I drove in town to night. Left Sarah at the Drama School then went out to the former Epworth M.E. Church Building on Orange Street and listened to a fine concert by the New Haven Singers.
