Tuesday, December 25, 1928 O little town of Bethlehem! How still we see thee lie! Above they deep and dreamless sleep The silent stars go by. The blessed Christmas day again and how happy we are to have each other for another year. It is all that matters. The day is lovely. Very warm and a brilliant sun. No snow anywhere in the East. Sarah went over and brought Father and Mother Peck over to our home. They are pretty feeble after Father's illness. We had our usual good dinner prepared as only mother can serve it for us and to top it off, we had a genuine English Plum Pudding made by Aunt Jane herself and sent over by Percy. It made the dinner just complete. Sarah invited John Clearman, a California boy, to dinner. He was all alone today. Dorothy Rawson and Mr. Stubbs came out and T.P.H. got supper for them. We had all been invited down to Harley's to family party but mother was too tired to go so we gave it up and so to bed. We hear the Christmas angels The great glad tidings tell; O come to us, abide with us, Our Lord Emmanuel! Amen. --- (There was [a message](<Christmas 1928 from Aunt Jane.md>) from either Aunt Jane or Percy regarding the Plum Pudding.)
