Wednesday, December 26, 1928 The day after and feeling rather low after yesterday's overeating. But we had a good time together. Had lunch at the Quinnipiack Club. This afternoon, I attended a meeting of the Committee on "Friends of Boys" at the Chamber of Commerce Hall. Tonight at six, I spoke at the evening dinner of the Knights of the Round Table at the Hotel Garde. I spoke to them of "Christmas" and the personality of Jesus. This is the newest service club in New Haven. Went from there up to Calvary Church to prayer meeting. Then we filled candy boxes for the junior party on Friday and the primary party on Saturday. Deacon Gram and Dorothy brought me me home. Sarah went down to New York today for a few days relaxation. It will do her good.
