Lovely day all day long. we finished our inventory Saturday so all outside salesmen had today off. We all worked till six then closed for the year. As tomorrow is our usual Rotary Club day and it being a holiday, we held our meeting this noon and had our annual family party. Our wives and children being our guests. The Hotel Taft set the tables in the ballroom, about 250 attended. The Theatre Guild put on a puppet show for the children, much to their delight. President Ray Reigeluth presided. Tonight, T.P.H. and I went out to the Edgewood Club for our New Year's Celebration. We had a lot of fun, a big crowd there. We met many old friends and had a good time. There were many quite young people there and it was a good place for them to be, not a drop of liquor anywhere in sight. "Good bye" 1928 - "Hello" 1929.
