Thursday, February 23, 1928 Went over to New London today with our Mr. Chamberlain. First to speak at the New London Rotary Club luncheon at Hotel Mohican then to call on some of our customers there. A good attendance at the Rotary Club. Bob Chandler was chairman of the speakers committee and wanted me to speak. Drove home with Mr. Chamberlain. The heavy rain of last night and this morning washed all the snow away again and now the roads and fields are entirely bare again. Our dear friend Stephen B. Warren passed away this afternoon. He was living just above here on Ridgewood Ave. His funeral will be held Monday from Calvary Baptist Church. It would have been his 64th birthday. He was a wonderful man and the best superintendent Calvary Church School ever had.
