Tuesday, January 3, 1928 Attended Rotary Club luncheon at noon, Hotel Taft. Special program put on by the Fellowship Committee, Fred Dawless chairman, consisted of a lot of stunts to see how many of the members knew the names and classification of the other members. Went to Hartford on the four o'clock train to a meeting and dinner at the Hartford Club of the Connecticut Council of Religious Education. Rode home with Dr. Petty, president of the council. He drove his new Chrysler car and we came down in fifty five minutes. Part of the time we were going sixty and seventy miles per hour. Pretty fast for me.
