Thursday, January 5, 1928 Went to Springfield store today. Went up and back on the train. While there, drove over to Westfield with Mr. Shaffer to call on some customers. Dinner tonight at First M.E. Church, corner of College and Elm Streets, being the opening meeting of the Training School of the New Haven Council of Religious Education. The Van Dyke Printing Establishment on Olive Street near St. John St. burned down this morning. Loss of $200,000.00.
